Reading Rainbow

I had NO idea this show was even still on the air nowadays, but was sad to just hear that it will no longer be. Watching the attached YouTube video of the opening credits brought back some major memories! Was Labar Burton still the host all this time?
Man, talk about a walk down memory lane….

I recently happened across this Kansas City library and it is easily one coolest libraries I’ve seen. <–not an oxymoron.

In my opinion this creative design puts it alongside the other [...]

“When I have a little money, I buy books; and if I have any left, I buy food and clothes.” – Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus
I love books. Love em, love em, love em. I never go anywhere without a book handy…just in case I get a couple minutes to read.
There are many random reasons I [...]

Keep Bella and Give Me Sookie!

“Oh, but you have many other very juicy arteries. There’s one in the groin that’s a particular favorite of mine.” – Bill

I am not a romantic, nor am I big into love…but I’ve fallen head over heels in love…with a TV show!
Ok, ok, dramatic, I know, but this show is fan-freaking-tastic! I have had people [...]

Journey into Ancient Rome

“Every man is the architect of his own fortune…” – Appius Claudius Caecus (312 BC) Roman consul
I am currently reading Roma: A Novel of Ancient Rome by Steven Saylor and am in love with it.  More specifically, I am in love with the new things I am learning. I have had quite an interest in [...]
